Instrumental Information
**Please note: Percussionists (including Rhythm Sections for Jazz Bands) need to be first in line as groups leave the warm-up area. They will be sent slightly ahead of the ensemble in order to assist with equipment set-up/placement for performances. (This is particularly important for schools that have brought their own percussion instruments/equipment.)
All directors need to complete an Instrumental Set-up Form (located on the left under the Instrumental tab on the menu) for each of their performing groups. They must also be sure to include a diagram of their set-up on this form - - including the placement of all percussion instruments which will be used (both instruments borrowed from VU and their own instruments that they will be bringing) - - in order to make transition times run smoothly and efficiently during the set-up changes.
Performance Guidelines
- You will have ten minutes to play two selected songs. This also includes any set-up changes and/or tuning between songs.
- You may perform any style and/or level of music.
